(Worthy News) – Republicans have secured at least 219 seats in the House of Representatives and achieved a trifecta by winning the Presidency, and both chambers of Congress under the leadership of President-Elect Donald Trump in the 2024 U.S. Elections.
All 435 House seats, which have two-year terms, were contested in the recent election, leaving the balance of power uncertain.
Before the election, the GOP held a slim majority with 220 seats, compared to the Democrats’ 212, with three seats vacant.
According to Decision Desk HQ, Republicans have currently secured 219 seats, while Democrats have won 209, with results for 7 seats still pending.
